“The time has come to find a person we could entrust with the coordination and management of our festival and other FAB projects. It was a real pleasure to meet Gábor: we immediately felt that he understood what makes Festival Academy Budapest so special. We know that we have a long way to go, but the past years have proven that with both Hungarian and international musician friends and artists who honour us with their support, and with the well-organised and strong team Gábor has built, we can bring quality performances and the love of music to even more places and promote its long-term development in even more ways. We believe that together with Gábor, and by building on the knowledge we have acquired over the last six years, we can continue to develop our organization and become stronger and more visible – stressed Katalin Kokas, violinist and artistic director of FAB.
“Over the years, Festival Academy Budapest’s summer festival has become one of the most acclaimed classical music events in Hungary and the region. However, FAB is much more than that: from master classes, international violin competitions and a ten-day festival to educational projects and concerts, I manage a multi-element organisation. Kati and Barnabas’ approach was also attractive to me because I see a fantastic opportunity in bringing together a wide range of tasks, organising different projects, and setting up and leading a team. I think that the wide range of marketing and sales experience I have gained in the past provides a solid foundation for the challenges of this position. I am confident that with FAB we can achieve further professional successes that will earn the recognition of both concertgoers and artists who work with us, as well as other players in the industry – says the director.
