More than a competition

FAB aims to inspire and help children, together with their teachers, to develop their talents, and follow their development through further master classes and competitions.
In the spirit of teacher Ferenc Halász, the competition travels around the country, with round-table discussions, masterclasses and concerts during the competition.
We want to provide a truly stimulating experience for children and colleagues alike.
The FAB will award “advancement/masterclass” prizes, gold certificates and additional special teacher prizes are awarded. Each FAB competition is both a masterclass and a teacher training event. The application form free of charge!

Repertoire (for both age groups)

Violin

– two freely chosen upper voices of Bartók duo(from sheet music)
AND
– One performance piece of your choice with piano accompaniment
AND
– One solo piece (any solo work or etude)
The latter two works should preferably be of different character

Cello

– a performance piece of your choice with piano accompaniment
AND
– A solo piece (any solo work or etude)
The two works should preferably be two pieces of different character
