“He was born in Spain into a family from Taiwan, and he did his schooling in Spain. I heard him play at a Polish competition and he completely captivated me: despite his young age (he is still yet to turn 24), his playing is incredibly balanced, perfect and eternally colourful. I immediately invited him to the Festival Academy two years ago, and although he’s commuting between concertos throughout the summer, he could be here for at least a matinee concert. Since that time we have been playing together a lot.”
